After you have filled out all the required information for your new package deal, you need to add a rate. There are a few options you can use for your packages.

2. Connect (multiple) rates to your package

On Request
If you want to offer a package that is available on request, you only need to add a single rate to your package deal:

Arrangement_OpAanvraag.JPG

  • Single Supplement: only applicable if you also offer a package deal for 1 person.
  • Under "Can start on" select the days on which the package can start.
  • Under "Fixed rate" enter the fixed price for the entire package for 2 persons.
  • Under "Amount of persons" you enter "2", the number of persons to whom the price applies.

Package with direct availability
If you want to create a package with availability you can choose between a few options:

Option 1: Own availability, own price
With this option you create a rate that is only applicable for the package.

  • Default availability: enter a standard availability here
(how many packages you want to offer as standard).

This option is used when your package is not linked to a room type and stands entirely on its own.

Option 2: Linked availability, own price
This option can be used to connect to the availability of a certain rate under a room with its own price. You can use this option when you there is no relationship between the price of your room and the price of your package. For example:

In the image above you see two rate types for all room types, a standard rate and a non refundable rate. We want to connect our new package deal to the standard rate for all room types. First, you select the rate which you want to show on top, for example the Single Room - Standard Rate. You select all the rates you want to connect to your package. If you are finished, your overview will look like this:

The image above shows that each room type has two rates, a standard rate and a non-refundable rate. Now we want to link the availability of the standard rates of all room types for theis package with its own price. First, you select the rate which you want to show on top of the list, for example the Single Room - Standard Rate. You do this in the order of the rates as you want to show them.

When you have selected the first room type, select the start days under "Can start on" on which the package can start. Under "Fixed rate" you enter the total price of the package.

You can only use this option if the package has a fixed price for the entire period. If you use different seasonal prices for a package, you can better choose the option: Manage your prices through your channel manager.

To link a new rate / room type, click on "Link to another rate" under the linked rate / room type. A new block is added where you can link the following rate / room type. Repeat these steps until all rates / room types have been added to the package.

When finished, you can click on save and it looks like this:

When finished, your package deal will show as follows in the booking engine:

Option 3: Linked availability, linked price
With this option you can connect the prices and availability of your room rates to your package deal and add a surcharge for the package deal. Let's say we want to offer our standard double room and deluxe double room for our new package with linked availability and price. The package for the standard double room has a surcharge of € 25.- per day, the deluxe double room has a surcharge of € 50.-:

If we look at our package deal in the booking engine, it looks like this:

3. Manage packages rates with your channel manager

Some hotels want to manage the package rates and availability through a channel manager, without having them visible under a room type. By adding a rate for a room type you want to offer and not showing it in the booking engine, you can easily manage the rate through your channel manager.

  1. Select the room type that you want to offer for your package and then click on "add rate to this room"
    Arrangement_AddRateToThisRoom.JPG

  2. Enter the conditions of the rate and set the option "show rate?" on "no"

  3. Go to your package and select the rate you have created. You can put the surcharge on 0, since you are going to manage the prices through your channel manager.
